We are an Australian based business.

Do you ship overseas?

We currently ship worldwide excluding the EU. International shipping is via Australia Post and rates are shown at the checkout.

What couriers do you use?

We are currently using Australia Post and Sendle. All postage rates are automatically calculated by weight and shown at the checkout.

Can I pay for express delivery?

Yes, express delivery is available and rates will be calculated at checkout.

What are your processing times?

Our processing times are 1-3 business days.

If your order arrives damaged, get in touch with us via the Contact page or by emailing hello@auraandoaktree.com with your name, order number and pictures of the damage with the box it came in and we'll get back to you ASAP.

WHAT ARE BOOK INSPIRED PERFUMES?

Our book inspired perfumes are handcrafted scents designed to reflect the essence of characters, stories and moods from beloved books.

ARE YOUR PERFUMES NATURAL?

Most of our perfumes are crafted with 100% natural essential oils for a pure, plant-based scent experience. Some blends may include high-quality, skin-safe synthetic fragrances to achieve unique or long-lasting notes. All ingredients are clearly listed on each product label for your peace of mind. We use fractionated coconut oil as our carrier oil - lightweight, natural, and nourishing for the skin. As with all topical products, we recommend performing a patch test before full use.

ARE YOUR PERFUMES HANDMADE?

Yes! Each of our perfumes is handcrafted in small batches to ensure the highest quality, freshness, and attention to detail.

What size are your perfume bottles?

Our perfume bottles are 10mL roll on bottles.

Are your perfumes vegan and crulety free?

Yes! All of our perfume ingredients are vegan and cruelty free.

How long do the scents last?

Longevity varies depending on the scent and your skin chemistry, but most of our perfumes last between 4–5 hours.

How do I store my perfume?

Store your perfume in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the scent’s quality.

Will my perfume come with the book it’s inspired by?

Some of our perfumes are specifically paired to a certain book. All books that are stocked here at Aura & Alchemy come with their very own perfume. Shop our books here and our perfumes here.

Can authors collaborate with you on a custom scent for their book?

Absolutely! We love collaborating with indie authors. You can click here to express your interest and we’ll be in touch to explore the magic together.

- One full size perfume in collaboration with the author of the quarter
- One merch item in theme with the author and the perfume 
- One themed postcard size artwork or bookmark
- More goodies, but we are keeping this a secret

subscription details

You can subscribe at any time. However, any subscriptions made after the quarterly cutoff date will begin in the following quarter. One-off purchases are also available.

Billing

After your initial sign-up, your subscription will be billed automatically on the 1st of each new quarter - January, April, July & October. 
If there are insufficient funds in your account and we’re unable to process your renewal, we will attempt the payment two more times before your subscription is cancelled.

shipping & Rates

Flat rate shipping of $9.95 for all Australian subscribers.
Flat Rate Shipping of $15 for New Zealand subscribers.
All other shipping zones will be calculated at checkout.
*The flat rate shipping fee is added to each quarterly box.

Our subscription boxes ship on the 30th of each quarter. Preorders close on the 14th of each quarter.
Any new subscriptions placed after the 14th of January, April, July & October will be included in the next quarter’s shipment.
This ensures we have enough time to prepare your box and maintain quality.

cancellation policy

- Quarterly subscription - There’s a minimum of two renewals before you can pause or cancel this subscription.

- Bi-yearly - There’s a minimum of two renewals (2 boxes over 6 months, 2 quarters) before you can pause or cancel this subscription.

- Yearly - There’s a minimum of four renewals (4 boxes over 12 months, 4 quarters) before you can pause or cancel this subscription.

Who are the authors you are collaborating with?

Author collaborations will be revealed on the 1st of each quarter.

Is this a subscription or a one-off preorder

We understand that commitment can be hard. That's why we have created a one-time purchase option.

Can I buy the perfume separately?

No. These are limited edition perfumes only.

How limited is the box?

There is only a small batch of boxes up for grabs!

What happens if the box sells out?

You will be put on a waitlist. If someone cancels their subscription we will be in touch.
